Five Question Friday

What a busy week, but I could really say that every week. I guess it would be really something if I posted something like, “Had an uneventful, unproductive week”. Even though I am a play-at-home mom I am glad it is the weekend. No plans have been made so hopefully I can have one uneventful or restful day. 😉

1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
I have to admit, being a stay at home mom I have worn the same outfits 2 days in a row on several occasions. Back when I went to work every day I never would have thought about doing something like that but know that I go days without seeing anyone I have done it a couple times. When the boys get a bit older and can do a little for themselves I look forward to getting up and jumping in the shower first thing and get dressed every morning. Sometimes in a large family it’s the little things. 😉
2. If you had to chose any LARGE city to live in which one would it be?
I would say Austin TX. I currently live in OK so it wouldn’t be too far away and I prefer the southern way of life as to the northern way of life (coming to OK from MI). I, however, hope I never have to chose a LARGE city to live in. I was born a country girl and live it that way.
3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?
Back when there were only 1 or 2 kids I would say fly but now that we are a family of 6 I would definitely say drive. Driving with multiple kids is definitely cheaper than flying. With that said if we were to need to say get to German or something I don’t think we’d have driving as an option ;-P
4. What is your idea of “spring cleaning”?
Top to bottom cleaning and purging. Purging is my main word for spring cleaning. I have gotten better over the years at not accumulating junk but it still happens and with 4 children the need to purge or store seasonal clothing is a big one too. I enjoy purging unnecessary items. It is a liberating feeling for me. Every item that gets trashed or donated means that much less stress in my house.
5. What is the best book you have ever read?
There is just no way for me to answer this one. I have been a book lover ever since I learned to read and would go to the book store every couple weeks with my dad to trade in the books we just read and pick up new books. As a mom I get my children library cards at a young age and I will reserve a bunch of books online for myself every week and then go let me children fill their canvas bags with their own books for the week. I just can’t pick one as my favorite, sorry. 🙁

I hope you all have a very restful and blessed weekend!
