Ahhhh, this was such a freeing experience. I went crazy with it. It didn’t take me any time to reach my 100 things and I kept on going and I am still going. I have a list of what I want to attack next. Here is how it started. I still had our Christmas stuff up when I began last weekend and when it came time to put away the ornaments I sat down and went through everything even the stuff I didn’t bother with this year and this is the pile of things that were thrown away because they were either broken or some were items that came with the hubby from his long ago past that have just never made it to the garbage. 😉  It kind of looks like a page from an I Spy book doesn’t it.  28 ornaments all together.

Then after the Christmas stuff was all packed away and these ornaments went in the trash I decided on my next project….my dresser drawers. Wow, was there a lot that needed to go. There are 48 items in this one pile of clothes.

Not a bad start at all. That already puts me at 76 things in the first day. So next it was this stack of cassette tapes. Yes, I still had some cassettes. There are 17 total cassettes to add the list. Making my total now reach 93 things.

My 11-year-old has wanted to work on de-cluttering her room but has been quite hesitant to begin but she took the challenge and helped me by adding this pile of clothes and shoes that no longer fit her to the list. Her total was 17 things so we have now topped the 100 things challenge and are at 110.

I couldn’t just get her in on the challenge so we went into the boy’s room and came up with this pile consisting of broken toys, fast food toys and other no longer played with items for a total of 47 things so we end our challenge at 157 things!! Wahoo. I still have areas to attack but I am very satisfied with this beginning.

Oh I sure am. I haven’t stopped yet but I haven’t been taking pictures. I need to start doing that again. It’s a great feeling and I love how it all looks when its done. My husbadn even jumped on board out in the barn. 🙂
