Monkey bread for breakfast. I know we have been eating so healthy lately but we haven’t had something like this is a while so it was time for a treat plus I had exactly three packages of biscuits that needed to get used so my little monkey’s were spoiled this morning. The hubby wasn’t home so I wasn’t sabotaging his efforts to eat healthy with this one.
This super simple breakfast is so easy and so delicious!
3 Packages of biscuit tubes
1 c. (white) sugar divided
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Take 3 packages of biscuit tubes (10 per roll) and cut each roll into 4 pieces. (I use those 4 pack of pillsbury rolls)
In a bowl combine the cup of white sugar and 2 tsp of cinnamon and blend together.
Drop the cut pieces of rolls into the cinnamon sugar/cinnamon to coat them and then put them into a well buttered Bundt pan (don’t press them down just drop them in loosely)
In a saucepan melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar and the remaining white sugar/cinnamon. Bring this mixture just to a boil then remove it from the heat and drizzle it immediately over the roll pieces.
Put it in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven, cool slightly in an upright position, then tip the pan over onto a plate to remove monkey pull-apart bread and watch it disappear before your eyes.
My kids devoured it this morning.
