life manifestosI was so excited to receive my personalized family manifesto from Life Manifestos! It was the missing piece I needed for my wall display.

This was how the wall began. bare wallIt was screaming for something and we decided this would be a great photo display wall. So now we had the project but needed to get it done. Creating a photo wall is NOT easy. I decided on what I wanted it to basically look like and found pictures we hadn’t unpacked or cleaned up yet. I cleaned and painted all the frames black (unless they were already black). This personalized manifesto 16″ x 20″ poster was exactly what I was looking for to add to the photo wall.  Much deeper than a simple mission statement, the heartfelt manifesto expresses what every parent longs for their children to know.  It is beautifully written and is so inspiring. The poster fits a 16″ x 20″ frame and can be hung as a stand-alone centerpiece in your homestand alone manifest, or surround it with your family pictures to create an even more special effect like I did. I also like that the colors and design are universal so they would go well in most every home.

First I played around with everything on the floor in front of the wall to figure out the placement I wanted for all the different frames sizes and photo’s. This is what I finally decided on. positioning photos on the floor

The frames are not all matchy-matchy but they are similar in color so I think they pull together nicely even with the different sizes and such. OK, that is the next step in the process completed. I measured out the basic space this would take up on the wall and then measured the wall and centered my measurements on the wall and taped off the area with tape. Then I started with the family manifesto since it is the center of the display and worked my way around from that point.

I got everything up on the wall in their places and took down the tape and stood back. Here is how we look so far.   photo wall without vinyl and signI thought it looked pretty nice but it was still missing something so I sat down on the computer last night and scoured Pinterest and did some Google searches and came up with the next step in my display at finally fell asleep around 1:30am.  Ugh, 8am came way to early but it’s time to get moving. After all our school work and such I got back after my plan. I broke out the Cricut, stole a board from my husbands shop (sshhhh) and grabbed a can of paint. Actually he won’t miss it. We reclaimed a bunch of wood from old privacy fence panels and cut off the bottoms that were rotten. Then he planed them a couple times and they looked good as new. Here is the finished project and a close up of our Family Manifesto! I just love it!!  Thanks a million for the opportunity and we just LOVE it!
