From best-selling women’s author Angie Smith (I Will Carry You, Mended) comes this sweet children’s book about a stuffed animal named Audrey Bunny who fears her imperfections make her unworthy of a little girl’s love. She’ll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn that everyone is special and wonderfully made by God.
This is such a sweet story and teaches children how we should treat each other and look at each other. This is a beautiful hard cover story book with a paper jacket. The story it’s self if 31 pages long and on the back of the last page is -Psalm 139:14 [ESV] I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Angie Smith is the wife of Todd Smith (lead singer of Dove Award winning group Selah), best-selling author of Mended, I Will Carry You, and What Women Fear, and one of the most popular speakers and blog writers in the country. She holds a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Vanderbilt University and lives with her husband and daughters in Nashville, TN
The book also has a Parent Connection page at the end with some versus to talk to your children about and some questions to get them thinking. Questions like “Why does Audrey Bunny think her smudge is bad?” and “How does God see you?”. There is an activity for your children as well if you would like to really drive home the idea that we are each made different and perfect in God’s eyes. We don’t need to see ourselves as imperfect but just as we were meant to be. We need to make sure our kids are proud of who they are and comfortable with themselves and just as importantly that they treat others that same way.
One lucky reader will win their own hard copy of this beautiful book. I think it would make a perfect gift idea or a “just because” present. This giveaway is open to residents 18yrs+ in the US and Canada and will end on N0vember 8, 2013.
