Holy Ghost: Movie Review

ABOUT THE FILM:

Can the Holy Spirit Direct a Movie? In this fast-paced documentary from the director of the popular films “Finger of God”, “Furious Love”, and “Father of Lights”, Darren Wilson sets out to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit. No plan, no script, no safety net-just go wherever he feels the Spirit leading him to try and discover the adventure God has for him. Whether it’s the riches of Monte Carlo, a heavy metal concert, or the oldest city in the world, the result is a film that not only challenges and excites, but also receals a God who is far more alive and active than you ever imagined. (Featuring: Lenny Kravitz, Brain “Head” Welch, Bill Johnson, Michael W. Smith, Todd White, Meredith Andrews, DeVon Franklin, William P. Young, Phil Vischer and more!)                      FREE worldwide premiere of Holy Ghost on September 6th at this website: HolyGhostMovie.com

MY REVIEW:

I was very excited about reviewing this  movie as it is something I feel strongly about. I am a Christian and I feel strongly about the fact that we are not just supposed to go to church but we are supposed to be working for God. We are all called to do something, though finding that something can be harder for some than others.

I think this movie had some very powerful parts. It definitely is spot on as to the fact that we really need a revival. There needs to be an awakening in the Christian world and that the church has gotten a lot of things wrong over the years. This movie too has some Biblical discrepancies I believe but it is on the right path and the people in this movie accomplished some truly unbelievable things.

When the movie first began and they started out in Salt Lake City, Utah I had a really hard time continuing to watch the movie and really hoped it would not be the same throughout. As I watched the movie I was pleasantly surprised. It was like the movie started off in a safer atmosphere and moved to the WOW factor by the end. It’s intensity and awe grew as the movie went on. I had happy tears in my eyes over an over again. Hearing testimony and seeing the love of God pouring out of two former self-professed druggies and bad guys from the band Korn who are not both born again Christians that pray with and after their concerts with people in the crowd! Brian Welch said “When that feeling, the presence of the Holy Spirit comes…I’m telling you, for a drug addict to feel that, there’s nothing better.”  That’s AWESOME! Then watching these guys doing the unbelievable in a radically militant area of India….POWERFUL stuff.
