Welcome to Willakaville! An otherwise normal town turned upside down by crazy, silly, strange and supernatural wackiness. Amazing adventures of astronomical awesomeness has it all! Adventures, magic, mystery, time-travel, aliens, laughter, conspiracies, monsters, mayhem, dilemmas, and cats.
170-page- ebook also available in paperbook. Mathew Heinecke is an emerging author of children’s books. He enjoys making up wacky science fiction stories and poems for his children. His Willakaville series books have put these in print for others to enjoy with the goal of tackling the many different issues children will face. (He wants to ensure he is using the full spectrum of his imagination). Barnes and Nobles website says the age range is 9-12, but my 6 & 7 year-olds loved it and so did I.
Willakaville had our attention from the very beginning and had my boys laughing out loud by the end of chapter one and begging me to read chapter two! The stories take place in a normal little town where the people are normal and the houses are normal and everything is normal except for the weird things that seem to happen.
There could be a talking ant pleading for help and magical jars of mayonnaise that make everyone crazy. Maybe a tomato would attack the city or maybe everyone would become mean or aliens would attack. Whatever the next chapter held you knew it was going to be crazy and hilarious! I have always wished my imagination worked the way some do like Mathew Heinecke. We rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!
