I was happy to review the Salad To Go containers for #zitriom because I make salads for my husband everyday to take to work. These are pretty neat as they come with a little green cup that fits in the lid that holds your salad dressing so you add it when you are ready to eat. Before I used to use three containers for his salad: One for the drier stuff like spinach and lettuce and the cherry tomatoes, one for the juicer veggies like pickles, beets, cucumbers, and one for the salad dressing. Now I dry the juicer veggies then dice them up and everything goes into the Salad To Go cup with the dressing in it’s own container in the lid. As you see in the picture it also comes with a plastic green fork that fits into a groove that holds it in place, so everything is together. Plus these are BPA free!!
This has been working great. The first day I packed him up two cups of salad because he works overtime so he can eat two smaller meals to keep his energy up. The next time it was one salad and one with yogurt and fruit with granola in the little green cup. The lids are not screw on which had me a little concerned that they might pop off and spill but so far we haven’t had any incidences. These are so nice to have around to keep everything all together for his lunches. I know they will get lots of use. I can see fruit salad in the near future. My 7-year-old son said, “Mom, we should get these for all of us so we can take picnics and we can all have a cup of fruit salad!” Sounds like a plan to me. These are going to come in very nice for camping trips too. Who says you only eat hot dogs and smores on camping trips. 🙂
The only down side of these containers that I can see is that they are hand wash only, which isn’t a big deal to everyone. I have several things, including my pans and some water bottles that cannot be dish washed so it’s not a deal breaker for me.
These containers can be purchased on Amazon for $11.99
