Part of a new brand in the Zondervan family, The Plans I Have for You journal teaches and inspired kids to dream about their future; to focus on faith, love, and joy; and to recognize that God has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us.
This journal will encourage you to think creatively and explore the talents and characteristics that make you special, helping you discover how God uses your unique traits to spread love and joy to make the world a better place.
Softcover/Stationery; 208 pages Age Range: 11-14 years
This set is going to my eight-year-old that is very capable of completing the journal though the suggest age range is 11-14. Maybe children that are older may get more out of it and may think more about the questions but my son will still be able to complete it at eight-years-old. He has already started on it and said it’s really cool. He loves going to church and this extra time he has alone with God and his own thoughts is, obviously, a wonderful thing! When you purchase both books you score free shipping!
I LOVE how the 90 day devotional is broken down into sections or sectors:
- I’ve Got Big Plans for You!
- I’ve Given You a Purpose
- I Don’t Do Things Small
- There’s Nothing You Can’t Do
- Find That One Thing
- What I Created You To Do
The books starts off with a letter from the author. She tells kids that God wants to spend time with them and he wants to hear about your day, the things you love and what is bothering you. This devotional is a tool that will help kids spend time with God and get to know him better by thinking about him, talking to him and hearing from his Word.
With each devotional there is quote from the scripture and a thought to ponder. The author suggest children pray after reading their daily devotional. There is also a motivational letter from the author at the end of the book.
The Journal also has the same corresponding sectors so you can complete them together.
