Product Description

Designed with intuitive technology, your results will quickly display on the large, backlit LCD display which also gauges healthy and dangerous results. This model fits comfortably around one wrist and is simple to operate with your other hand. Additional features of the EBP-017 include: Dependable Detection: The EBP-017 detects hypertension along with irregular heartbeat. For hypertension, there are five levels within a column that an arrow will point at. The bottom three represent healthy readings and the top two represent unhealthy readings. For irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia, the monitor will show a multiple heart symbol. Quicker Measurements: By measuring your blood pressure and heart-rate while the cuff inflates, the EBP-017 will give you a faster reading while also giving you more comfort. Measuring while inflating allows the cuff to inflate to a comfortable tightness without bringing painful constriction to your arm. Reliable Records: With up to 60 stored readings, you can easily examine past readings to see your progress. Each reading also comes with a time stamp incorporated into it. Furthermore, the monitor will average the past three readings together to give a more holistic view of your health.

My Review

I was given the opportunity to review the Easy@Home wrist blood pressure monitor. As a nursing student I really enjoy medically related reviews. In the video below I show you the run down and a demonstration of me using the monitor as well as video comparing it to the Measupro wrist blood pressure monitor and the results.

019The two monitors measure up the same as far as their comfort, backlit LCD displays, ease of use and size. They can both store up to 60 readings but the Measupro actually has two user options for a total of 120 readings. Both record the date, time and readings in their memory recall function.  They both calculate the averages of your last 3 readings and detects irregular heartbeats and any arrhythmias. They both come with and use 2 AAA batteries and both cufffs fit wrist circumferences ranging from 13.5 cm to 21.5 cm. The real difference comes in when putting them to the test. I tried them both twice and swapped wrists to see any variances. It appears that the Easy@Home wrist blood pressure monitor is more accurate on the right wrist then the Measupro monitor is. The Easy@Home wrist blood pressure monitor is also 6-7 seconds faster. That may not seem like a lot but in an emergency every second matters. Here is the video I created showing the unboxing, use and comparisons.
