This was a very last minute thing that came up that we tried to make the best out of. The aggravations of the trip were simple…not enough hours in the day and battery issues with my van. The drive up over night was peaceful and eventless. The next morning after grabbing a bite to eat we found ourselves with a very weak battery. The hubs had to save the day and give me a jump with his Freightliner then we are heading back home. However after stopping for gas and a quick DQ icecream we found ourselves with the same problem and were lucky enough to have a great guy there to give us a jump once more. I swore to myself I was not going to shut off the van until we were home at that point and did all our errands and never shut it off. Here are some picture of the highlights of our little road trip.
Not real sure what this is but it caught my eye. It appears to be a chimney sweep. 🙂 I thought it was picture worthy. 😛
This one just cracked me up. This guy passed us and I thought wow, now that is protecting your motorcycle. In the bed of his pick up is a motorcycle in the center with a couch and loveseat on either side, lol.
We don’t have Dairy Queens around where we live so if we have the opportunity to stop at one on a road trip we try to take advantage of it. This was the little boys first time, I believe, at a DQ.
So, of course, we had to get the famous twist cone dipped in chocolate. I will post a short video of what my boys thought about it at the end of this post.
I LOVE this one. This is a semi truck and dry van standing on it’s nose used as a sign for this truck repair shop. 🙂
