Are you all ready for gardening? I am really excited about this year but we are having some doubts since we have free ranging chickens and I have seen what they have done to my flower beds. I think we will either have to pen the chickens or pen the garden before we take off on that venture. However, I was given the opportunity to review this E-book Gardening with Little Miss Greenfingers and this book is about growing culinary herbs in containers. That may be the extent of my gardening this year I am not sure we will see how that all pans out.

This little E-book is 85 pages long and stuffed with information and non of the useless fillers.  The table of contents let me know right away that I was going to find everything  I needed in this one book.  Here is what you’ll find inside: Where To Grow Your Herbs,  Stuff You Need For Container Herb Gardening,  Culinary Herbs Suitable For Container Growing, How To Look After Your Herbs, Dealing With Pests And Diseases,  Harvesting And Preserving Herbs, Make Your Herb Garden Attractive, Annual Herbs, Perennial Herbs, Recommended Resources.

About the Author:

Anja Koch has been a plant enthusiast since her early teens. Growing and cultivating plants has always been one of her favorite pastimes. Having finished school in Germany she began an apprenticeship as a landscape gardener.
This was followed by a professional program in landscape design and involved a thesis on Robinsonian Gardens. Anja moved to Ireland in 1997 and since then has built up an award-winning garden centre and nursery business. Trading and dealing with the amateur gardener for over 13 years has taught her the challenges and problems that people face when it comes to growing plants and indeed gardening in general.
On her website Anja and ‘Little Miss Greenfingers’ help gardeners around the globe to grow and develop the gardens of their dreams.

In My Opinion

This book is great for everyone.  You don’t have to be a pro to read and understand and use this book. You can have a herb garden just about anywhere. You can grow them inside in a windowsill or on the patio in containers. You can make it a garden that is not only used in your culinary dishes but that is beautiful as well. I also love all the great pictures she has in her book. It’s not just a lot of text but there are pictures of all the different herbs she talks about and more.  You will learn how to start the plants from seeds, what all you will need, how to feed and care for them, how to harvest them and how to use/preserve them and more. I have never grown herbs before and am really excited to give what I learned a try. This book is available for purchase on Amazon HERE or you can enter to win one of 10 copies on this post!
