Our first experience with Rachel Coleman was on Nick Jr with the Signing time segment she does on there and we have loved her ever since. My boys will sing and sign along with her. Her songs are fun and funny and really get the kids to interact with her.  When I saw the chance to review her DVD + CD combo set I jumped on it.

Just as I expected my 4 year old sat transfixed on the show the entire time. This one was called Rachel & the Tree Schoolers- A Rainy Day.

Send your child to preschool with Emmy-nominated host Rachel Coleman and her TreeSchooler friends. Based on a comprehensive curriculum, TreeSchoolers videos engage children in learning through music, movement and fun! Charming characters like Abacus Finch, Isaac Newt, Chroma Chameleon and others will help your child learn important preschool concepts and character-building values.

Episode 1: A Rainy Day helps children explore questions such as:

What is a cloud?
Why does it rain?
What is lightning?
What is thunder?
How can we help someone who is afraid feel better?
How can I show kindness?

In My Opinion

We LOVED this review! My son, Ryker, said he really liked the monkeys and the birds. I said what was your favorite part about the movie. He said everything :).  He said she talked about electricity and said zap and made a sign. They pick up so many things without even realizing they are learning because they are having so much fun. This is a perfect addition to our preschool program.

The Rainy Day curriculum includes weather concepts, problem solving, rhyming, sorting, storytelling, American Sign Language and the values of courage and kindness. There is also a Free Activity Guide that’s great for Parents and teachers.  You can get your free”Rainy Day” Activity Guide, which includes fun and easy activities for at home or in the classroom. This PDF guide includes a full set of printable resources, including a My Rainy Day book template, character cards, word cards, song lyrics and fun certificate.

You get a bonus music CD so you can sign the songs anywhere. This Movie & CD are both going in the van so we can watch it on road trips and listen to the songs on the stereo too.

You can find Rachel and the Treeschoolers, produced by Two Little Hands Productions on Facebook, and on Youtube.  I know your family will LOVE her as much as mine does so go check out a couple online video’s and order Rachel and the Treeschoolers today.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
