If you haven’t heard about Ozeri products I urge you right now to check them out before you read any farther in this review. I LOVE Ozeri products. This is the third product from Ozeri that I own and now where I will always go looking first from now on. This review is for the 10″ size of these pans available in 8″, 10″ or 12″. This is a Green Earth Pan that features Greblon. Greblon is an ultra-safe 100% PTFE and PFOA FREE ceramic non-stick coating from Germany.  This ceramic coating is derived from nature.

Let me tell you about the features that make this pan awesome:

  • First off the awesome Greblon coating
  • No harmful heavy metals or chemicals
  • Superior non-stick performance
  • Durable, scratch-resistant ceramic, as found in nature
  • Comfortable silicone handle
  • Completely eco-friendly
  • Easy to clean
  • Induction stove safe

inside the panThe elevated texture creates air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking. The patterned surface helps prevent food bonding for superior non-stick performance and easy cleaning.

This is my “go-to” pan when I am using the stove top. I have used it for saute vegetables, to make omelets and more. This pan is heavier than most of my pans but is lighter than a cast iron pan. I have used it for over a month now and pick it every time I cook using the stove top though this pan actually has a silicone handle that is oven safe. I checked out Youtube to see what others think and did find a couple of people that were not happy with the pans but 90% were and I personally think it may have been user error. There are ways to ruin your pans. Some people choose to not follow manufacturers instructions like clean it first before using with a soft cloth and then season it with a little oil.  This pan comes with a user’s guide one page letter that tells you what to do and what not to do.

Don’t use sharp utensils in these pans, only plastic or wood and do not cut your food in this pan. Either of these things will scratch or damage the ceramic coating. Also don’t cook this pan on high heat. It is not like traditional pans and actually cooks the food faster. Using a high heat for an extended time can cause food to burn and result in carbonization of the food and oils can accelerate the gradual decline of the pan’s non-stick properties.  Also a HUGE “no-no” when it comes to our cookware is not to take your pan straight from the hot stove and put it under cold water. This can actually cause thermal shock and affect the pan’s ceramic coating or cause cracking over time.

Like I said originally I have used this pan every time I have cooked with the stove top for over a month now and it works just like brand new still to this day. However, if you do have a problem the Ozeri Green Earth Pan has a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner from the date of purchase against defect in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the lifetime of the product. It doesn’t cover things like scratches. One of the guys that complained on Youtube posted later that he called Ozeri and they sent him a replacement pan and that it worked great and then again later it started sticking again. I am really leaning toward user error in that case. I love this pan and will continue to use it. There were others commenting that they have had their green pan for over 11 months and it still worked like brand new.

Green Earth pan collageOzeri is on Facebook and they also have a great website feature their wide range of amazing products. I will be reviewing one of their bathroom scales in the near future.Signature**”Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in hope that I would mention it on my blog.
