My Hikes Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. my hikes logo

As a mother of two growing boys, I was excited to check out My Hikes Pant Cuff Fasteners. My boys are 6 and half and 5 and they are growing quickly and, as you all know, continuously. I am constantly handing down jeans to little brother and purchasing longer pants for big brother but the problem comes in with the length. My big man is tall for his age and skin and bones. He wears an 8s in most brands of jeans and here is how they look on him.

These ones are actually not as bad as they normally are but you get the idea. Having a younger child still I don’t like them ruining their jeans because they will be passed down to little brother and then on to my sister-in-law for her two boys that are both younger than mine. We get our moneys worth out of our clothes. Half the time we even get hand me downs from my other sister-in-law from her son that is older than mine and so they go a loooooong way.

my hikes2These are the ones I chose to try out for my soccer loving boys but they have other choices as well for both boys and girls. Currently they offer: trains, dump trucks, baseball, soccer, butterfly, flower and princess. You can see them all here, which is also where you can purchase them online. They offer FREE standard shipping if you live in the United States.

Yes, you could simply roll up their pant legs but they don’t stay put very well and you know they are not as cute as they are with little clips like these on them. They really make their outfits stylish and cute while being really easy to put on.

You may have to enlarge this picture to see it more clearly but the design on the My Hikes is color while the rest is transparent so you really only see the cute design that you have chosen. You fold the jeans up, to your desired length, and the design goes on the outside of the jeans while the clear clip is on the inside of the pant leg. You can even turn little girls pant legs into adorable capri’s with these stylish clips! Here is a video you can watch about My Hikes and meet the creator and owner of My Hikes, Dani Schlesinger.

My Hikes are:

• For use with medium weight durable fabrics such as jeans
• Adorable, designs are 3-D and rubbery, fun to look at and touch!
• Easy to apply
• Durable—Our strong polycarbonate plastic passed the small parts test so we can sell to kids both over and under 3 years
• Lightweight for comfort—Hardly noticeable when worn, especially when kids wear shoes/socks
• Gentle on the pants—Just a snap-through clip style application, no damaging pins
• Invented by a mom and are patented

I give My Hikes two thumbs up. The clips went on so easily and stayed in place all day long. The boys simply love them and argue over who gets to wear the pair we have so I guess that means we will be buying some more. 🙂 My son’s pants look great and will last much longer now that we have My Hikes.
