My Review

Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I will start off by sharing the trailer with you.

I am always eager to watch family friendly videos since they seem to be so far and few between these days. We just finished up watching this DVD and I asked my boys, 6 & 8, what they thought about the movie and they both said at the same time, “Awesome!!”. I asked my 6 year old what he thought was the best part and he said his favorite part was when Mickey Matson was in the submarine thing that went flying straight up into the sky and then exploded. My 8 year old said his favorite part was the ending with all the fighting scenes and the … (well we won’t give away the ending). There were a couple moments in the film when my 6 year old was losing interest but getting a 6 year old to sit still for an hour and a half is a pretty amazing feat. My 8 year old watched the entire movie intently. I think it was pretty well put together. There is some corny acting in it as you catch a glimpse of in the trailer but making the bad guys look really uneducated is a common theme in movies for kids and it’s really not a bad thing for our kids to think bad guys aren’t very bright. It may help keep them on the straight and narrow path. All in all I think this is another fun family movie to watch together. Any movie that is safe for the entire family to watch together and spend good family time together is a great thing. We don’t do a lot of television watching but when we do, these are the types of movies I want us to watch together.
