My Review

035I love gardening and I love learning. I have learned so much since I started gardening through frustration and through other peoples wisdom. I learned about growing organic and have never looked back. When I saw the opportunity to check out this new kit that has the best of both worlds  I was all over it! With this kit they help you grow to garden year round which is something I haven’t really done yet. Last year I did plant onions and garlic in the fall to harvest the next spring but that is the extent of that. I am excited to harvest on a more year round basis. Actually I would LOVE a green house to help with that but that will come someday. Hey does anyone want me to review a greenhouse kit for them? 🙂

So each kit comes with 37 variety of seeds that are Organic, Open-pollinated, Non-GMO, Non-Hybrid & Easy to grow varieties for summer, fall, winter and spring. I received a great assortment: purple Vienna Kohlrabi, long standing Spinach, New Zealand Spinach, Orioles Swiss Chard, Rainbow swiss chard, Ruby red swiss chard, Vates Kale, Red Russian Kale, Siberian Kale, cherry tomatoes, green leaf pink stem beets, bulls blood beets, golden jubilee tomatoes, Beefsteak tomato, romaine lettuce, deer tongue lettuce, straight 8 cucumbers, broccoli, broccoli Decicco, sweet peppers, Emerald Giant pepper, celery, cabbage, golden acre cabbage, arugula, Astro arugula, black beauty zucchini, straightneck squash, danvers carrots, tender sweet carrots, market more cucumbers, giant Italian parsley, snowball Cauliflower, jelly bean mix radish, french breakfast radish, mustard tat soi savoy, cover crop-field pea oats, beneificial insect attractant flower mix, organic mesculun mix. I like that it is a wide assortment and includes some new vegetables that I haven’t grown before which is always fun and can be quite a treat for the entire family.

It will help you understand composting and the best compost along with a planting plan. It tells you about different gardening options like container gardening, raised beds, lasagna gardening, as well as dealing with pesky insects and more. It even talks about enjoying the fruits of your labor and preserving your harvest! Finally, it talks about seed selecting, harvesting and preserving so you can use seeds from this years crops again next year and the year after that and so on.
