I was happy to review this product after the old organizer quit functioning for us. The old organizer required that each device had a loop or hole to hang it up. When the silicone loop that the Rubbermaid sprayer had broke I could no longer hang it up and that was really annoying me that it was always in the way. Perfect timing on this review. This organizer allows me to hang up 5 tools by their handles and another 6 on the hooks. I am currently using it to hang up a broom and dustpan, two floor sprayers and a mop in the handle holder sections. On the hooks I have a couple fly swatters, a level, foxtail/dustpan and a plastic bag holder. It holds all of these items securely and easily. My kids all have chores to do daily and both my 6 & 8 year-old sons can remove and return these items to their designated spots with absolutely no trouble. I think this is a very useful product and I like the different option of securing the tools. My mother-in-law has one that has a type of clip but but they are difficult to use and too hard for my boys to be able to use. This one is easy and allows them to be successful in using it as well.
It was not the easiest to hang because the screw holes are deep and too thin for a pencil to go through. The area in which I hung my organizer was too narrow for two people to hang it together so I used the screws that came with it to mark the screw holes but a nail or maybe a nail setter or similar tool would have been easier. The kit comes with wall anchors but they are pretty cheap. I didn’t really care for them but I did use them and so far they are functioning fine. One broke when I tried to install it but it came with plenty of anchors and screws so I wasn’t too concerned. After marking the holes the installation was a breeze. I installed the anchors and then hung up the organizer.
